Another year has gone by and it is time for another HEALTH-O-RAMA. This year we will again be at the Logan Valley Mall on Friday, August 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Many health care vendors will be participating in the event, and anxious to inform you about their services and do some on-the-spot evaluations. The indoor walk to support the Lung Disease Foundation will again take place at 8:00 a.m. and anyone can sign up on our website or contact Sherri Stayer at 946-2845. The Foundation has become the local source for information on vaping and we are working with 7 school districts to try to educate the teachers, parents, and counselors, along with students, about the real facts concerning vaping. We have secured some grants for this purpose, but proceeds from the walk will help us continue to provide this valuable service to the community.
Of course, many people are interested in the “Cook Off” which has become a traditional HEALTH-O-RAMA festivity. The exact challenge this year is still under wraps at the time of this writing, but it promises to be every bit as competitive as previous years. Come out to support your favorite doctor and vote for the winning recipe.
Look for advertising containing the times the physicians from the Altoona Lung Specialists will be speaking on topics of interest to everyone.
